The best girl basketball player ever in Saint Jo. She never got a chance to play in high school. She could easily score 50 points a game in pre high school competition.
I have to agree with all that Chick said above, because her team played alot of games the same nights my grade school team played, and we were in awe of her talent. I had the privilege of seeing her play many times. She was better than most of the boys playing. If girl's basketball had been around back then she would have been the best, no doubt.
If Karen Hugh(e)s had been allowed to play high school basketball, she would have been a first team, All-State selection-her freshmen year. She was that good.
