It has been a long time since Sammy was killed in a tragic accident. I often wonder how he might have turned out as an adult. I recently visited his grave. It looked as if no one had been there in years. I did not know him well but he seemed to be a good guy.

Sammy was a friend from the 10th grade on. His brother would have killed us all if he knew Sammy drove his car the way he did. His brother let Sammy drive us all around in his 1966 Pontiac Catilina and his 1967 Dodge Polaris. They both had controls on the steering column as Sammy's brother was diabled. Sammy was killed in a construction accident at Cameron Missouri in 1969. We miss you brother.

It is sad but I don't know if anybody ever visits Sammy's grave. It took me a while to find it. It was completely covered over with grass. I looked for quite some time and finally found a small depression. I had to pull all the grass around it to even take a picture.  He is buried at the cemetary at Memorial Park on Frederick.  He is buried on the east side of the Rose Hill Section about half way down.  The grave is about 10 graves up from the tree and the third or fourth row in.

It's been 42 years and we miss you buddy.
